A decorative porcelain plate featuring a hand-painted design in the Kutani style, known for its vibrant colors and intricate patterns. The central design depicts a blue bird among red and yellow chrysanthemums. The outer border is composed of a complex geometric pattern in shades of red, blue, and gold, with four separate panels featuring more red floral motifs.
The back of the plate has a red, square-shaped stamp with Japanese characters that appear to read TA (Kutani) and if tex (Kaburaki Sei),which translates to "Made by Kaburaki" or"Kaburaki Seizo." Kaburaki is a well-known producer of Kutani ware, with a history dating back to the 19th century. The plate also has a blue and gold "Made in Japan" sticker, which is common on items exported from Japan.
